Station 2 (built in 2006) located at 250 Parkers Fork Road in Corapeake is our sub-station #2. All of the trucks responding from Station 2 are identified as Engine 70, Tanker 71, Truck 72 and Truck 73. Trucks from Stations 1 and 2 respond whenever the Station 40 is toned out.
Responding from Station 2, Engine 70 is a 2007 American LaFrance pumper on a Freightliner chassis. It has a1500 gpm side mount pump, carries100 gallons of water, 4 SCBA packs and 12 spare bottles. Onboard is also 1000 feet of 5-inch line and other needed equipment.
Also responding from Station 2 is Tanker 71. It is a 3500 gallon E-ONE vacuum tanker on a 2013 International chassis. This truck was obtained via a 2013 FEMA SAFER Grant. HUGE improvement over the tanker that it replaced.
Truck 72 is a 1984 Pierce pumper with a 1250 gpm pump mounted on an International chassis and carries 750 gallons of water. This unit was our first line pumper until replaced in 2004 with Engine 40. Now it is the equpiment truck responding from Station 2 and carries an exhaust fan, Pheonix rescue tool, and other equipment.
Truck 73 (picture coming soon) is a 2006 F250 brush truck with a 200 gallon water tank, a gasoline pump and a hose reel mounted in the bed. This tuck was obtained form the North Carolina Forestry Division when after they stopped using it.
